A few steps from the apartment there is also the elegant Piazza della Repubblica which was the center of the city in Roman times. A really beautiful, modern and completely renovated house a stone's throw from all the main monuments of the city. From the apartment you can easily walk to all the main museums of Florence such as the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery (home of Michelangelo's David) as well as the Duomo, the Basilica of Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti.

How to get to the apartment
The apartment is about one kilometre from the train station Santa Maria Novella of Florence, just a 10-15 minute walk. Alternatively you can take the bus C2 by ATAF in piazza dell'Unità Italiana, right in front of the train station. The bus stop is located on via Orsammichele, just a few steps from via dei Calzaiuoli,. Or, if you prefer, you can take one of the many cabs waiting around the station.
From the Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport, it takes about 25-30 minutes by taxi to get to the apartment.
